Introduction

Welcome to the documentation of the project Medpeople.

note

This is a work in progress and will be updated as the project progresses. Hence, some parts of the documentation may be incomplete or missing.

The Medpeople project comprises of various users, each with their own set of permissions and capabilities. The project is divided into two main parts: the frontend and the backend. The frontend is responsible for the user interface and the backend is responsible for the business logic and data storage. This will be further explained in the following sections.

Users

The project has the following types of users:

  • Super Admin
  • Admin
  • Employers (Customers)
  • Consultants (Users)

Super Admin and Admin are the internal users of the project, while Employers and Consultants are the external users. The internal users have access to the admin application, while the external users have access to the client applications, such as the Medpeople ios application and Android application (Consultants), and the Medpeople web application (Employers).

Types of Employers:

Generally the employer gets contacted by the sales team or an inbound occurs, and after some communications, they are onboarded to the platform. The employers can be of the following types:

  • Private - Private entities such as health care companies, organizations, etc.

Once the employer private account is created, they are generally managed by themselves. They can create shifts, manage bookings and other functionalities.

  • Public - Public entities such as municipalities, regions, and other public organizations.

Public entities are managed by the admin users. The public entities are created by the admin users and the public entities can create shifts, manage bookings and other functionalities. These shifts are provided by the employers with regards to their requirements on staffing.

It is also a rule that the public entities are not allowed to use platforms like these on their own, hence they contact Medpeople to manage their staffing requirements.

The pubclic entities are again divided into two types:

    • Regions: There are in total 21 regions in Sweden. Eg: Region Stockholm, Region Skåne, Region Uppsala, etc.

    • Municipalities There are in total 290 municipalities in Sweden. Eg: Stockholm Municipality, Malmö Municipality, Uppsala Municipality, etc.

They provide the elderly care, elderly home assistance, etc.

Just like the private employers, the municipalities have relaxed rules and regulations, hence some of the municipalities are allowed to manage their own accounts.

Onboarding of Employers:

The onboarding of the employers are done manually by the admin users. The admin users can create the employers by filling in the required details of the employers. The employers are then sent an email with the login credentials to access the platform. This will be discussed in detail in the Employers section of Admin documentation.

info

Employers does not have the ability to create their own accounts. The accounts are created by the admin users.
